João Saldanha de Azevedo Galamba was born in Lisbon, on August 4, 1976. Holds a degree in Economics (Universidade Nova de Lisboa), took the doctoral program towards his Ph.D. in Political Science at the London School of Economics and taught Political Philosophy.

Worked at Banco Santander de Negócios, at DiamondCluster International, at the Portuguese Presidency of the Council of the European Union and at the Integrated Continuing Care Mission Unit.

Member of the Portuguese Parliament since 2009, being a member of the XI, XII and XIII Legislatures. Coordinated the Members of Parliament of the Socialist Party in the Budget and Finance Committee and was Vice-President of the Socialist Party Parliamentary Group.

Susanne von Aichberger is a Senior Analyst for the Solar & Energy Storage research group, where she performs market analysis of trends and strategies in the downstream part of the PV market. Her focus areas include PV markets in Europe and in parts of the Asia Pacific region.
Prior to joining IHS Markit in 2014, Susanne was a PV market analyst with Solarbuzz, and has previously worked as technical editor for Photon International. She holds an Master Degree in Physics from Technical University Berlin.

Marco has nineteen years of international experience in the management of assets, and operation and maintenance throughout various industries, including seven years in the solar industry.
He has been paving his career path towards full asset management services since beginning his career with ABB, integrating its full-service team for industrial assets.
Following this, Marco worked at Transdev-Veolia, focused on business and asset management for Light Rail networks in Europe.
In 2010 he became founder and global Head of Martifer Solar´s O&M and Service Business, driving the strategic direction while leading a team of more than 100 employees, where he became Executive Committee Member as the representative of O&M and, accumulated with the responsibility of leading the EPC global business in 2015, until leaving the company in 2017. Martifer Solar operated in more than 20 countries as a global reputed Developer, EPC turnkey provider and one of the most relevant O&M Global Service providers for Solar assets.
In 2018 he co-founded and integrated as General Manager the company MTX Solar - a provider of innovative solutions and services for the players of the solar industry, with own competences for the whole chain of value of Solar, present in two continents.
Marco received his MSC in Electrical Engineering and completed an Executive MBA in Management from the University of Porto Business School/IE Madrid. He speaks Portuguese, English, and Spanish, with a working proficiency in the French language. .

Pedro Amaral Jorge joined APREN in December 2018. He previously took a role at AfDB to work as private sector expert in developing and structuring Infrastructure, Energy, Water and Sanitation Projects in Africa, with focus in the Sub-Saharan Africa region.

Pedro has a track record on EPC and Utility business development, financing, designing, building and management with more than 15 years of international work experience, having worked in Europe, South America, Africa and the Middle East.
Pedro has 20 years’ experience in Top Management positions such as General Manager, Executive Board Member, Executive Director and CEO. Pedro led the development, execution, implementation and management of water and Sanitation, sustainable infrastructure, natural gas distribution infrastructure and renewable energy projects, all in different contract structures, in several countries and continents. Pedro worked for AfDB, Mitsubishi/METITO, Mota-Engil, SACYR/SOMAGUE, IDOM, among others.

Pedro has an Executive MBA in Finance and Operations from IESE/AESE as well as a MsC in Mechanical Engineering from IST - Instituto Superior Técnico.

Miguel Adroher started his career in 1997 in Iberdrola, before moving to London where he worked in the energy trading desks of Goldman Sachs and Deutsche Bank (natural gas, power and oil). He joined Axpo in 2017 in Madrid where he is the Head of Origination and Long-term products in Iberia, in charge of developing the PPA business.

Tatiana Markovitch has 15 years of experience in the financial and corporate sectors and recently joined Smartenergy as Chief Business Development Officer. Tatiana is a Portuguese and UK qualified lawyer and holds a LL.M from the London School of Economics as well as an Executive Certificate in Environmental Governance and Policy Making from the Graduate Institute of Geneva.

Rui Bento was born in 1979, holds a degree in Electrical Engineering (Instituto Superior Técnico) and holds an Executive MBA by Católica/Nova/MIT in Lisbon.
He has been working in EDP Distribuição since 2005 at the Directorate for Asset and Network Planning, where he executed networks studies for investment plans for the Distribution Grid and evaluated connection conditions for distributed generation. Since 2018, he holds the position of Assistant Director for the Network Studies and Grid Connections area.

Juan Fabregas joined Astris on November 2017 as Vice-President. He has 10 years of experience in project and corporate finance and has acted as lead arranger as well as financial advisor over the past few years. He joined Astris from BBVA, where he was a vice-president in the infrastructure and energy team. Juan spent 4 years at BBVA, including two in Chile working on Latin American projects (mainly in Chile, Perú, Colombia and Mexico), and two in Spain, where he worked intensely in the Spanish renewable market.
Prior to BBVA, Juan had spent four years at Crédit Agricole CIB in London, as an associate in the project finance team.  There, Juan worked on a host of infrastructure deals in the UK, continental Europe as well as the Middle East.
Juan has a master’s degree in Business Administration from the Francisco de Vitoria University in Madrid (2008). He is fluent in English, and Spanish and conversational in French and Italian.

Pablo Otín holds a Bachelor of Engineering from the University of Central Lancashire (UK), a Technical Engineering Degree in Industrial Electronics from the University of Zaragoza (Spain) and an Executive-MBA from IEB & Universidad Complutense de Madrid (Spain).

Mr. Otin garners extensive experience in the renewables industry –including greenfield development, M&A, finance or operations, and a proven track record in building platforms across multiple regions. Mr. Otin began his career building and operating wind farms in Spain (at GAMESA ENERGIA and currently SIEMENS GAMESA), moved into greenfield development of onshore wind across EU (at GAMESA ENERGIA and BP Alternative Energy), and then onto M&A for wind and solar across the EU at ALLCO FINANCE GROUP.

Michele holds a MSc in Renewables and a PhD in Engineering Sciences, and has more than 12 years of experience in the electrical sector having worked with multiple companies including inverter manufacturers, EPCs and engineering consultancies in both solar photovoltaic and storage projects. His work has been covering the compliance of network connection requirements in several European countries (including England, Germany, Italy Spain and Portugal) also in relation with storage and grid flexibility. Michele actively participates in the international development of renewables and storage, being member among the others of the British Standard Committee ESL/120 Electrical Energy Storage and expert group for renewables of the United Nations - Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE). .

With a wealth of experience in both developed and emerging markets, Jan has a thorough understanding of project development and acquisitions, EPC management, divestment, and project finance. Prior to joining the Bluefield Group, he spent 5 years in Tokyo, where he was in charge of strategy and investments at TerraForm Power in Japan and several emerging markets in Southeast Asia. Before that, Jan worked at Canadian Solar, a global leader in PV technology and project development, where he successfully closed multiple utility-scale transactions in Europe and Japan. Daniel Pérez holds a degree in Law and Politics by Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, with an Erasmus at Cambridge University. Afterwards he took an LL.M in European Law at the College of Europe in Bruges.

He worked for more than 4 years at a law firm specialised in Spanish Energy Law and then joined Holaluz, the second independent supplier in Spain, as Chief Legal Officer & PPA Lead.
Moreover, Daniel has participated in numerous national and European conferences on the electricity sector and he frequently publishes articles on energy regulation at several Spanish publications.
Daniel is also member of the Board of Directors of the Spanish PV Union (UNEF) and of the Advisory Board of the Renewables Fundation (Fundación Renovables).

With nearly 2 decades of experience in the sector, Jaime has held relevant top management positions for several utilities on the Iberian Market such as Head of Retail at Alpiq or Chief Strategy Officer at Audax Renovables, company for which he continues collaborating as independent advisor and has also covered different management positions at Enel, Naturgy or Endesa. Jaime holds a Master’s degree in Energy & Fuels Engineering, and has a wide experience on several business activities as generation, distribution, wholesale markets operations, origination, deal structuring, trading, energy supply to end-customers or energy efficiency.

Francisco has an MSc in environmental engineering and a postgraduate degree in management from NOVA University.
Of the 20 years of professional experience, he started working in the Portuguese Environment Agency in the noise and environmental impact studies division, and after as a director for all projects related with the environmental sector in a private contractor company, before embracing on the world of solar energy in 2010.
He currently works for the private company Resul, where he started as product manager of the photovoltaic distribution business area and later in 2014 as director for the EPC, energy efficiency and O&M department, offering the market turnkey self-consumption photovoltaic systems of and also the full development of large-scale projects under the market and PPA regime.
He was also for 3 years (2016-2019) the President of the Portuguese Association for Companies of the Photovoltaic Sector (APESF), where he currently represents the position of vice president.

Nuno Brito Jorge is an environmental engineer, entrepreneur and innovation and sustainability enthusiast.

Within the past 15 years he worked in the European Parliament (Belgium) as an advisor for energy and environmental policy, in innovation and funding consulting in Spain and Portugal and as a project manager for large renewable energy projects before becoming a dedicated entrepreneur.

He is currently the CEO and co-Founder of GoParity, a crowdlending platform for sustainable energy projects which raised more than 1M€ of funding for sustainability projects in little more than one year and he is also a co-founder and President of the Board of Coopérnico, Portugal’s first renewable energy cooperative, which currently has more than 1300 members and 21 active solar power projects.

João A. Peças Lopes is Full Professor at Porto University (FEUP) where he teaches in the graduation and post graduation areas. He is presently Associate Diretor of INESC TEC, one of the largest R&D interface institutions of the Unversity of Porto. His main domains of research are related with large scale integration of renewable power sources, power system dynamics, microgeneration and microgrids, smartmetering and electric vehicle grid integration. He was Chair of the Selection Committee of the public tender that decided on the integration of 1800 MW of wind generation in Portugal, launched by the Portuguese government in 2005. He supervised 27 PhD Thesis. He is author or co-author of more than 400 papers and co-editor and co-author of the book “Electric Vehicle Integration into Modern Power Networks” edited by Springer. He is a Fellow from IEEE. He is also member of the Power Systems Dynamic Performance Committee of the IEEE PES. He is Editor of the (SEGAN) Sustainable Energy Grids and Networks journal.
