Marco has eighteen years of international experience in the management of assets, and operation and maintenance throughout various industries, including seven years in the solar industry. He has been paving his career path towards full asset management services since beginning his career with ABB, integrating its full-service team for industrial assets.Following this, Marco worked at Transdev-Veolia, focused on business and asset management for Light Rail networks in Europe. In 2010 he became founder and global Head of Martifer Solar´s O&M and Service Business, driving the strategic direction while leading a team of more than 100 employees, where he became Executive Committee Member as the representative of O&M and, accumulated with the responsibility of leading the EPC global business in 2015, until leaving the company in 2017. Martifer Solar operated in more than 20 countries as a global reputed Developer, EPC turnkey provider and one of the most relevant O&M Global Service providers for Solar assets.In 2018 he co-founded and integrated as General Manger the company MTX Solar - a provider of innovative solutions and services for the players of the solar industry, with own competences for the whole chain of value of Solar, present in two continents.Marco received his MSC in Electrical Engineering and completed an Executive MBA in Management from University of Porto Business School/IE Madrid. He speaks Portuguese, English, and Spanish, with a working proficiency in the French language.

Pedro Amaral Jorge joined APREN in December 2018. He previously took a role at AfDB to work as private sector expert in developing and structuring Infrastructure, Energy, Water and Sanitation Projects in Africa, with focus in the Sub-Saharan Africa region.Pedro has a track record on EPC and Utility business development, financing, designing, building and management with more than 15 years of international work experience, having worked in Europe, South America, Africa and the Middle East.Pedro has 20 years’ experience in Top Management positions such as General Manager, Executive Board Member, Executive Director and CEO. Pedro led the development, execution, implementation and management of water and Sanitation, sustainable infrastructure, natural gas distribution infrastructure and renewable energy projects, all in different contract structures, in several countries and continents. Pedro worked for AfDB, Mitsubishi/METITO, Mota-Engil, SACYR/SOMAGUE, IDOM, among others.Pedro has an Executive MBA in Finance and Operations from IESE/AESE as well as a MsC in Mechanical Engineering from IST - Instituto Superior Técnico.

Ertug Babatas is the Head of International Sales and Managing Director of Enerparc International GmbH. Ertug has managed more than 50 projects in several countries with more than 300 MWp total capacity. He is responsible to set up the structure with local partners, to lead all the legal and commercial activities and to manage the partnerships/clients in order to develop and execute PV projects in international PV markets. Ertug has 10+ years experience in the PV sector and is currently leading the development pipeline of Enerparc in the Nordics, Portugal and Netherlands with more than 500 MWp capacity.

Nuno Brito Jorge is an environmental engineer, entrepreneur and innovation and sustainability enthusiast. Within the past 15 years he worked in the European Parliament (Belgium) as an advisor for energy and environmental policy, in innovation and funding consulting in Spain and Portugal and as a project manager for large renewable energy projects before becoming a dedicated entrepreneur.He is currently the CEO and co-Founder of GoParity, a crowdlending platform for sustainable energy projects which raised more than 1M€ of funding for sustainability projects in little more than one year and he is also a co-founder and President of the Board of Coopérnico, Portugal’s first renewable energy cooperative, which currently has more than 1300 members and 21 active solar power projects.

João is responsible for managing the global operations of the company, ranging from development, construction supervision and asset management, as well as for supporting strategic planning and investments (M&A).  Prior to joining Smartenergy in January 2018, João worked in the M&A team of Lightsource BP where he was responsible for the acquisition in the secondary market of solar projects in the UK under a partnership with Blackrock and also for leading the entry in the Dutch and Italian markets, realizing overall around 250 MWp. Prior to that, he drove Martifer Solar UK, a subsidiary of Martifer Solar group (Top European EPC), from its set up to being one of the 5 main solar players in the UK with > 200 MWp implemented from licensing/development, EPC and O&M. In 2009, João created a start-up delivering building energy certificates and energy efficient solutions, such as solar PV and heating. Previously, João held several financial and management positions in companies in the oil & gas sector and started his career as a trader in financial markets with focus on FX, Futures and CFDs, in European and US markets. João holds a degree in Economics from Portuguese Catholic University and an MBA from Georgetown University.

João Saldanha de Azevedo Galamba was born in Lisbon, on August 4, 1976.  He holds a degree in Economics (Universidade Nova de Lisboa). He took the doctoral program towards his Ph.D. in Political Science at the London School of Economics and taught Political Philosophy.  He worked at Banco Santander de Negócios, at DiamondCluster International, at the Portuguese Presidency of the Council of the European Union and at the Integrated Continuing Care Mission Unit.  He arrived at the Portuguese Parliament in 2009, being a member of the XI, XII and XIII Legislatures. He coordinated the deputies of the Socialist Party in the Budget and Finance Committee and was the Vice-President of the Socialist Party Parliamentary Group.  He served at the XXI Constitutional Government as Secretary of State for Energy and is currently Deputy Minister and Secretary of State for Energy at the XXII Constitutional Government.
